My ministry as the Rector at St. Michael's includes assuming final responsibility -- in collaboration with our bishop, wardens and vestry members -- for all aspects of the parish's operations and mission. To a lesser extent I also share as a rector in the life and mission of the Church beyond our parish. Like all rectors in the Episcopal Church, I am a priest. When checking my own priorites or motives, I often recall a line from our Book of Common Prayer (p. 531), spoken to me by my bishop on the day of my ordination: "In all that you do, you are to nourish Christ's people from the riches of his grace, and strengthen them to glorify God in this life and in the life to come."
