TAKE THE FIRST STEP OF CONNECTION
AND
WE WILL HELP YOU WTH THE REST…
HOW DO I BEGIN?
Attend a worship service.
The best way to find out if St. Michael’s is right for you is to ‘come and see.’ Choose from three worship services, each with a distinctive style.
Let us know you’re here.
So that we may serve you better please make yourself known to us when you visit. There are cards in each pew and two guest registers in the hallways that make is easy to leave contact information. We will give you a call during the week to say hello and ask if there is anything else we can help with.
Visit our Connection Table.
Look for the big red WELCOME banner and there you will find the Connection Table, a place where newcomers receive information about St. Michael’s. The table in located outside our Community Room after the
and
Sunday services.
Take an orientation tour.
Call the church office for a weekday tour. Meet with a member of the Connection Ministry for a personalized excursion around our facility. We are prepared to answer your questions on just about anything: getting connected at St. Michael’s, spiritual growth opportunities, ways to be cared for and supported, and ways to serve others.
Sign up for St. Michael’s electronic newsletter.
Stay connected by signing up to receive our electronic newsletter, The eSword. The most efficient way is to log onto our website www.stmichaelsbarrington.org and go to ‘join our mailing list’.
Enroll in the New Connections Workshop.
This is a series of classes specifically designed to assist new church members. The New Connections Workshop helps you explore some fundamental questions such as: Who are you? Who are we? What is the Episcopal Church? What is the purpose and vision of St. Michael’s? How does one become involved in ministry? What steps to take for preparation for baptism and confirmation? Classes are advertised in our newsletter and bulletins.
Explore Membership.
If you decide to take the next step and move from being a welcomed guest to becoming a member of our church family, know that we are ready to welcome you as a member. The question of membership always begins with exploration. We offer workshops throughout the year and encourage those who are interested in diving deeper into their faith to attend these classes. You may send us information about you so that we may include you in our next class and contact you with other information regarding St. Michael's by filling out the Member/Family Profile Sheet on-line found here Click here to fill out form. This form is sent directly to the Parish Administrator, Nancy Holmes.
Our desire is to make newcomers feel comfortable and welcome and nurture their introduction to St. Michael’s Church. It is with great joy that we welcome all worshipers!
