Whoever you are, wherever you find yourself in your journey of faith, you are welcome at St. Michael’s.
Our philosophy is simple: Everyone is joyously welcomed. The people of St. Michael’s come from a variety of backgrounds and lifestyles. We welcome diversity in our parish as every person is wonderfully created in the image of God.
We understand that walking into a church for the first time can be overwhelming, so we seek to create worship that is accessible to everyone, whether a person has never been to church, has worshiped with another denomination, or is newly arrived in the community.
Our services are newcomer friendly. Everything you need to follow the service is printed in the bulletin which you will receive at the door. You will be given the space to reflect on your faith and spiritual journey when you visit. Our goal at St. Michael’s is to make newcomers and visitors feel comfortable and welcome.
Each Sunday, greeters and members of our newcomer’s ministry are available to answer your questions. Our clergy and church staff are here to help you in any way. There are cards in each pew and two guest registers in the hallways that make it easy to leave contact information. You are welcome to remain a guest for as long as you wish, but we hope you will also consider becoming a member. Joining is straightforward. Come to church and let us know you wish to be a member. We will assist you in the membership process and determine what the next steps will be. The membership process is designed to provide you with learning opportunities to become a more effective disciple of Jesus Christ while deepening your knowledge of the Christian faith.
