Stewardship means many things to different people, although it most commonly means asking for money or promises to give money. At a more profound level, however, stewardship is grounded in our belief and recognition that, as Christians, we don't own anything, not even ourselves. Everything we have and are is a gift from God; given to us to give us opportunities to love our neighbors, friends, and families. The money we pledge and give to the Church is just one piece of this, although it is a very important piece to take care of if we want to continue to be able to gather for the Eucharist and mutual support in our life in Christ here at St. Michael's.
