St. Michael's participates in the community Meals on Wheels program the third and fourth Tuesday and Wednesday of each month. BACOA coordinates the program. Drivers pick up meals at St. Paul's Church at 11:00 am and deliver them to people in the Barrington area. The whole process takes no more than an hour. Not only do they deliver meals but the volunteers are a friendly face and voice to the people they deliver to. It is a very heart-warming experience.
The parish has a variety of people delivering the meals on a monthly basis from young moms, who sometimes bring their children to help, to retirees. This worthwhile ministry is open to many people as drivers are always needed.
