Give The Gift Of Warmth.
As the weather turns cold & our furnaces click on, our hearts turn towards those who are without heat, blankets and food.
Cumali is an organization that provides a hot meal, soup, warm blankets, coats and the ministry of presence every Monday night to the homeless who call lower Wacker drive home.
I have had the privilege of going out on occasional Monday nights with a handful of others to deliver food, warmth and prayer to those living there. Cumali is always looking for steady volunteers. If you feel called to be part of this team please contact me.
During the month of October, I am collecting 100 new or gently used blankets that will be given out on Monday nights this winter. Please help by leaving donated blankets in the large green wagon outside the community room.
