We invite you to mark your calendars for September 24 - not only will we be baptizing a new person into the faith, but Bishop Joseph from Renk, South Sudan, will be joining us as our guest preacher. He hardly needs any introduction, for St. Michael's has been helping support the ministry in the Sudan for 20 years; in fact, we will celebrate the 20th year anniversary in January (Covenant of Relationship). The vestry has designated the loose offering that day (non-designated, non-pledge gifts) to go to the Renk ministry.
St. Michael's work in the Sudan is well known, and we are continuing to honor our covenant of mutual prayer, visits as possible, and financial gifts. We hope you can join us on Sunday, September 24, for Bishop Joseph as he preaches at both services.
