Palm Sunday, April 14

Proclaim Jesus’ triumphant entry into Jerusalem with the palm processional at each morning service.
Wednesday in Holy Week, April 17
6:30 p.m. Taizé Service
A peaceful, contemplative, candlelit setting where we enter into a time of silence together,
interwoven with Scripture, prayers and singing.
Maundy Thursday, April 18
6:30 p.m. Holy Eucharist
On this night Christians commemorate the foot washing and last supper Jesus shared with
his disciples before his crucifixion. The service concludes with the stripping of the altar.
The congregation of St. Mark's, Barrington Hills will join us here for this service.
The combined choirs of St. Mark's and St Michael's will lead our worship.
All Night Watch at the Altar of Repose, 7:30 p.m. through 12:00 p.m. Friday
Good Friday, April 19
12:00 p.m. Good Friday Liturgy followed by Stations of the Cross
This service commemorates the crucifixion of Jesus Christ and his death at Calvary.
12:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. A Journey Through Holy Week
An afternoon experience for children ages 3 years to 5th grade. Lunch included.
7:00 p.m. Good Friday Liturgy at St. Mark’s Church, Barrington Hills
We will join the congregation of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church for this service.

The Great Vigil of Easter, April 20
8:00 p.m. Holy Eucharist and Holy Baptism
This is the first liturgy of Easter which begins in holy darkness out of which the Easter fire is kindled,
candles are lit, and we recount from our scriptures the saving works of God.
Followed by a festive reception in the Community Room
Easter Day, April 21
9:00 and 11:00 a.m. Holy Eucharist
We proclaim, “Christ Is Risen” through word and music. St. Michael’s Choir
and a Festival Brass Ensemble will participate in each service.
EASTER EGG HUNT at 10:15 a.m. (for children 1 year to 5th grade)
Both services are followed by festive receptions in the Community Room
