A Letter from Fr. Jesse:

Hello Little Angels Preschool Families and St. Michael's Church!

The Vestry and I are pleased to announce the successful conclusion of our Preschool Director Search process, and that Ms. Karen Klaus will be joining us on April 1, 2024, as our next preschool director!

Ms. Caren Hunter announced to us last year that she would be retiring at the end of May, 2024, and I cannot express enough how grateful I am for having had her here during my first eight years at St. Michael's.  While we will miss her, we wish her the best in her retirement, and we welcome our new director, Ms. Karen, with open hearts.

There will be two months of orienatation (April and May) for Ms. Karen Klaus, and she will formally assume director responsiblities on June 1 when Ms. Caren Hunter retires.  Join me in welcoming Ms Karen, and watch for opportunities to meet her later this spring.

I want to give a huge thank you to the members of the Search Committee and the Little Angels Parent Advisory Board for all your help in the search and hiring process.

Blessings,

Jesse Perkins+

Dear Families of Little Angels Preschool and St. Michael's Church,

I am deeply honored to extend my heartfelt greetings to each of you as the newly appointed preschool director for the upcoming 2024/2025 school year. It is with great enthusiasm and joy that I step into this role, bringing with me a profound commitment to the well-being and growth of your children.

With nearly three decades of experience in faith-based preschools as well as children’s and family ministry, I am humbled to join the Little Angels Family and collaborate with the exceptional staff, children, and parents who make this community so special. Throughout my career journey, I have dedicated myself to cultivating environments that foster not only academic development but also spiritual, emotional, and social growth in children and families alike.

As I embark on this new chapter, I bring with me the deeply held values of compassion, service, and dedication to excellence that have guided my personal and professional life. Being a single mother to my now adult daughter, Kelsey, has taught me the profound importance of nurturing and supporting each child's unique journey. Kelsey's passion for also serving children echoes the values held dear at Little Angels Preschool.

Moreover, I am deeply honored to serve as the caregiver for my mother, Lenore, during her senior years, cherishing the bonds of family and community that enrich our lives.

I am truly delighted to embark on this journey alongside each of you, and I look forward to creating a nurturing and enriching environment where every child and family can thrive and flourish.

With warm regards and great excitement for next steps with Little Angles,
Ms. Karen J Klaus

P.S.
I’ve always been known as “Ms. Karen”; I’d truly be honored if you will all be comfortable also knowing me as such!
