Evensong is a contemplative sung evening prayer service, usually held around twilight hours, featuring musical settings from the Book of Common Prayer 1662, sung canticles, and chanted psalms.
It has strong historical ties to the Anglican and Episcopal churches and relates further back to Evening Vespers and Compline services as early as the Middle Ages.
This peaceful service features St. Michael's Choir and Children’s Choir, and lasts about 45 minutes.
Musical settings by John Blow, Roland Martin, Kevin Hackett, Fraser Wilson, St. James Service by Robert J. Powell, and canticles by Robert Lehman.
