Our funeral liturgy is an Easter liturgy. It finds all its meaning in the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Because Jesus was raised from the dead, we, too, shall be raised. We believe that life is changed, not ended; and when our mortal body lies in death, there is prepared for us a dwelling place eternal in the heavens. Because of this belief, we welcome those who are grieving and looking to honor their loved ones and commit them to God.
If you are interested in a funeral service at St. Michael’s, call the church and ask to speak with one of the clergy. We will meet and spend time learning about your loved one and planning the service; deciding things like, which readings from the Bible will be used, music choices, and whether the service will include communion. We will place your loved one in the prayers of our church.
