Day & Time: Fridays at 6 am
Location: Community Room
All men are invited for coffee, prayer & conversation in the Community Room. A fellowship ministry with no formal agenda. Discussion topics range from personal issues to local events, sporting news, being a Christian man in today’s society, stage of life issues as sons, husbands, fathers and grandfathers and widowers or whatever someone brings up that particular day.
The conversation is thoughtful, genuine, without agenda and wide open . . . true fellowship “in the round” based upon a recurring question: What is it to be a faithful man in today’s world? How? Relevant life experience discussed safely with a scriptural context.
Leader: Lynn & Forest Mayberry |
Day & Time: To be determined by group
Location: Private Homes
A group of eight people who share a simple meal at each other's home during the course of one year. A great way to meet and to get to know fellow parishioners.

Day & Time: Tuesday Mornings @ 9:30 am-11:00 am
Location: Sturtz House
A welcoming group of women, all ages, who learn about the Bible together and support each other through friendship and prayer. We laugh and learn at the same time.
We gather in the library at 9:30 a.m. and end promptly at 11:00 a.m.
Kay Lewis and Nancy Seth alternate leading the group. YOU are welcome.
Day & Time: Tuesday evenings. Two sessions per year. A ten-week fall session from September to mid-November. A seven-week Lenten session from Ash Wednesday through Easter.
Location: St. Michael's Library
We are women who share the desire to experience the joy of Christ-centered fellowship while exploring ways to grow in faith and love through prayer, study, reflection and discussion. The group provides opportunities to discover more about ourselves, our faith and trust in God, our knowledge of God’s Word, how it applies to our lives, and what it means to live in relationship with Christ. Our faith journeys are magnificently enriched as we faithfully reach out to those around us with God's love. We cordially invite all women to join us at any time during the fall and/or Lenten Tuesday evening sessions. Or, get to know us in June, July, and August when we get-together once a month for fun, fellowship and the chance to connect or reconnect.
Day & Time: Last Thursday of Month, 10 am - 12 noon
Location: St. Michael's Library
This ministry is a quiet one but has deepened spiritual connections as the members touch the lives of others and remind them that they are loved by God and wrapped in prayer. Prayer shawls are given to individuals in our congregation, in our community and mailed to loved ones and strangers out-of-state. Prayer shawls are given for all the circumstances of life where the tangible presence of God is needed. The group is open to all knitters and crocheters, experienced or not!
Day & Time: Sundays, following the 10 am service
Location: St. Michael's Community Room
A NEW series of coffee talks around adult education. These wellness centered programs deepen community and Christian formation. The first talk, on "Planning for Peace of Mind" was hosted by Dave Buckley. We also had an excellent turnout for Deacon Tim’s "Caregiving Care, Rhymes with Prayer.” We discussed the importance of caregivers receiving care for themselves and shared stories about caregiving and spiritual nourishment. Sam Adams-Lanham gave a presentation on services that you may not know about from the Barrington Area Library.
Future topics will include: The Sacred Inside-An Inside to Episcopal Mysticism (Randy Lewis); and various behavioral health topics (Fr. Jimmy).
Offered in the spring as needed, adults who are interested in learning more about The Episcopal Church, with the posibility of formally joining the church, will gather four times.
Throughout the year, we offer classes related to the church season, usually during the fall, Advent, Lent, and summer. Check The Sword for updates on the next unit.
Occational gatherings scheduled throughout the year, while looking at the question "what is social justice?" and determining ways to engage with the greater community on key issues.
