What a beautiful kickoff Sunday! Wonderful to have a full church, meet new parishioners, reconnect with long time parishioners and enjoy the sunny day and food. Thanks to all who made it happen.
I am pleased to say that the Hillside house has sold and closed! The couple who bought it had been renting an apartment down the street, had noticed it on their walks, contacted us, and made an offer. They love mid century architecture and are excited to fix it up. We look forward to seeing what they do! As mentioned previously, the Vestry has already voted that the money will go into a designated fund that will be invested.
There are so many people to thank for making this happen. Sue Ferry, donated her time and real estate expertise throughout the process, patiently answering my many questions. Buckley Fine Law donated valuable legal assistance -Andrew Fuller and Jeanne Balsamo helped guide us through many legal intricacies. I really appreciate their help. Nancy Carney helped with documents we needed. Kim Curtis diligently worked to get the house ready. Carol Hebert was always there to help with any financial questions. Pam Blass was a huge help in the beginning of the process, when we needed to make sure our data base was accurate and that the votes were counted properly. Father Jesse and my fellow Vestry members, recognized and carefully evaluated the financial options and voted on the best option for the parish at this time. And to all of you, who listened, asked questions and voted, thank you, so much.
